Still Lifes

I also like to paint still lifes. To me they are portraits of living things and the small size of most of these paintings (4"x 6" approximately)  forces me to take a different look at my "subject". I still use my big easel and work standing as I do when painting a large piece but I like to keep my setting at eye level, really really close ,so I can observe every minute detail.
